Washingtonian Woods is a planned community located along Muddy Branch Road between Great Seneca Road and Darnestown Road (see it on a google map).  Most of the homes in this community were built between 1988 and 1994.  The average home here has around 2,800 square feet of living space on two levels, basement and two car garage.  Condos in the Vistas of Washingtonian Woods have from around 730 to 1,500 square feet of living space, and condos in The Oaks have 1,080 to 1,340 square feet of living space.  The community has a large clubhouse and fantastic pool.

Washingtonian Woods Park features 22 acres with a wetlands pond, paved walking trail, tennis courts, playground, basketball courts and a recreation field.  This park is a local treasure to homeowners here.
